How To Install Joomla 1.5 (Full packages)

Hi! Friends
To work on joomla you must know "How to install joomla"
This is the first tutorial that helps you to installing joomla in your local system.

1. XAMPP Server Download From Here"
2. Joomla 1.5 Full packages Download from Here



Installation Procedure:
1.  Install XAMPP in c:\ (If it install already, no need to install it again).
2. Unzip joomla into htdocs folder of XAMPP (c:\xampp\htdocs)
3. Renamed Zipped folder to joomla. (if its has joomla name alredy then no need to rename it)
4. Start the Apache and MySql services of XAMPP.
5. Open Internet explorer and go to localhost\joomla.
6. Preinstallation Check

Click "Next"

7. Licence Agreement

Click "Next"

8. Installation- Step 1

Enter the following entries into boxes-
Host Name = localhost
MySql User Name = root
MySql Database Name = blank (leave it blank, no net to put anything here)
MySql Table Prefix = jos_(This is set as default, but you can change it)
Checked the Sample Data (make sure it is ticked)
Click "Next"

9. Installation- Step 2

Site Name = Your Site Name (eg. Integrated Academy of Management & Technology)

10.Installation- Step 3

Fill the Boxes-
E-mail = your e-mail ID
Admin Password = Set the Admin password to something memorable

11. Installation- step 4

Remove INSTALL.PHP file and INSTALLATION folder from c:\xampp\htdocs\joomla.

12. In the browser click on either "View Site" or "Administrator" button.


Now setup has completed. Enjoying Joomla....
